Worplesdon Golf Club is a private members club and one of the classic Surrey heathland courses, laid out in 1908 by J F Abercromby and has just undertaken a full bunker renovation.  We are currently recruiting for two positions:

  • Greenkeeper
  • Apprentice Greenkeeper

The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications and skills, have a passion for their chosen career and have experience in all aspects of maintaining a modern golf course, including:

Educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 2

PA1, 2 and 6 Spraying Certificates (an advantage, but not essential)
Chainsaw CS30, 31 (an advantage, but not essential)
A positive, hardworking attitude with attention to detail and be team focussed
A golfer is an advantage
Full UK Driving Licence

This will be a full-time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week and weekends on a rota paid in addition to salary.

Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications

We also have a vacancy for an Apprentice Greenkeeper to assist the greenkeeping team.   This would be an ideal job for someone at college or university, or currently studying golf course management.  Working hours would be 40 per week and weekends on a rota paid in addition to salary.


The ideal candidate will be an early riser, hard-working with a good work ethic and be able to work as part of a team.  Knowledge of golf courses or golf would be a benefit.
